Our goals are to be proactive about
our patient’s health and to prevent
disease wherever possible. This is
what differentiates us from many
other “reactive” veterinary
practices. Reactive medicine
means waiting until disease has
occurred and then treating with
pharmaceutical drugs which really
only address the symptoms and
may not do much if anything for the
root of the problem. A perfect
example is many pets with
allergies. See our success stories
for more example

Health Consultants  (FROM:  http://www.drpitcairn.com/health-consultants)

It can be difficult to find a veterinarian that you can talk to for a more natural or holistic aproach to
care for your animal. You may have excellent veterinary care where you live but it can still be very
helpful to talk to a veterinarian that understands the jargon, the tests, and can interpret for you
and give you some idea of the interpretation of the situation your animal is in. Contemporary
veterinary practices are very busy and time is limited so you don’t always get to ask all the
questions you would like to.

Here is a listing of some veterinarians that have volunteered to act as consultants, so that you
can phone, email, or Skype them and discuss your situation more fully, and ask all the questions
that you have.
